Issue Date
The date on which the note is issued
Issuer
A company or municipality offering (or having already offered) securities or notes for sale to investors
Nominal Amount
The par value of the note
Offer
The lowest price that any seller is willing to receive for a given security at a given time; also called the offer or ask price
Quanto
An option in one currency, but which pays out in another. Quanto options are usually used in cases when investors are confident of the underlying asset's performance, but are not confident of the performance of the currency in which the underlying asset is denominated
Redemption Date / Maturity Date
Redemption/Maturity Date is the settlement date for the respective cash payment or physical delivery at the end of a note's life
Return
The total return on an investment, expressed as a percentage of the total amount invested
Strike
Also known as the exercise price - in case of physical delivery, the strike is the cash amount that must be exchanged upon exercise for delivery of the underlying security - in case of cash settlement it is the reference level from which the performance of the note is measured
Underlying
In the event of physical delivery, the security or commodity that is delivered when the note is exercised. This may also refer to the index/security/commodity or currency upon which the note is based
